Founded by Adriana Medeiros, a therapist and compassion teacher, the Center for Self-Compassion and Healing is dedicated to helping all individuals overcome mental health challenges and recover from trauma so they can thrive and enjoy their lives.

With advanced training in trauma, Somatic EMDR, Brainspotting, and Compassion-Focused Therapy, Adriana integrates evidence-based psychotherapy with mindfulness and nervous system-informed care to help clients heal, grow, and thrive.

Having lived and worked across Brazil, Europe, New York, Silicon Valley, and Los Angeles, Adriana brings a broad cultural perspective and a profound understanding of resilience, change, and the complexities of being human. As a Stanford CCARE Compassion Ambassador and Director of Clinical Services, she is committed to providing thoughtful, personalized care in a safe and collaborative environment.
